If you've read my other journal entry, then you understand what I'm talking about. (Sorry if that sounded rude, I'm not sure how to reword that right now. >.<)

I've thought it over, and I have three options here:

1. Make episodes without any music at all. All the claims I've been getting are because of the music anyway, not because of MMD. (Which would mean that I may not be doing duets anymore, as much as I wish I could.)

2. Completely move my work over to DeviantART. My episodes will be converted into comics like other story works here on DeviantART. The results will not be NEARLY as good as a video result, but it's better than nothing, I guess. (In other words, I'll be like the Vocaloid version of TehPuroisen-sama. [LOVE HER!!!!!!!])

3. Write a version on the story with original characters. (Which is kind of impossible because the structure and background and everything regarding the characters are based on Vocaloid.)

There are probably other options, but this is what I have. I've spent years on this project, I don't want to throw it away. I want to stop, yet I don't. I can't remember the last time I've ever quit in something, and even though I get really close to it, I don't quit in anything. I'll find some way to get it to work.

Thank you for the support. I guess maybe I did overreact before. But at the same time, due to those claims on YouTube, I don't get any credit for my efforts and in fact the credit and rewards go to someone else as if I don't even exist, so maybe I didn't overreact. I spent a year on the second episode. All that time and effort, every single day, pulling all nighters and purchasing several composition books for notes, and I don't even get partial credit for the results. To the viewers, I'm the creator of the video. But legally, someone else is now. The world is cruel as heck and I'm just too naive to understand that, I guess. I don't know what's wrong with me, I mean I did tell the truth that my only "allowed" method of venting is to write journal entries. I don't know what my problem is, I should've known better than to make videos with someone else's music. Crediting them or not, they'd still want to take my work if they can.

I'm so sick of people using me all the time.

Here's a tip for you guys: When making videos, never use music from: Doriko, LiveTune, Supercell, or Visualarts (Visualarts is the group associated with the anime Clannad's music.). You won't get credit for all the hard work that YOU put into it.

I think options 1 & 2 are good choices.
Cause, like most people say, we can always just browse some fitting music (or you could recommend some beforehand.)

id said #1 and then do this: find a video that DOES have the song you want (and is somehow not deleted) and tell people to play it XD its a nice compromise right? :p

you could upload your movies as .swf files and upload them on here! Deviantart accepts those in the Flash category, so you don't have to change it to a comic.

no its how I upload my animations on Deviantart. Now a .gif file does diminish the quality.

The stupid copyrights videos are for gameplay, music, or almost anything of any sort pretty much. It really is ridiculous, for we may own a certain game, music, or whatever, but they have been taking it and claiming it as their own works when we are well aware the companies or groups made the merchandise.

Eh. Looks like Clannad wants in on the work. Since I used one of theirs OSTs, they're one of the people taking my stuff. >.>

Why not try DailyMotion? It's a video site like YouTube but so far as I know, they don't have those copyright issues.

I've never seen a video or account removed there due to "copyright" issues.

Hm, strange... *frowns thoughtfully* Like I said, I'd seen lots of vids there, some having been up to 4 years. I was sure that'd be the one for you.

Maybe posting the vids here as a flash would do, too, though. I mean, you did it for that ice cream question...

Maybe facebook might be a solution, as I heard from some people that they don't do anything about Japanese music, but if it's a song from America, they delete the video

It such a shame that the companies are possessive jerks. You are REALLY good at matching music to the scenes you make to maximum effect.

I think the trick is to be careful with WHAT music you use. For example, Ep. 1 got muted right? Because of Sekiranun Graffiti? Basically, all of Ryo/Supercell's songs have been off-limits ever since they got signed over to Sony. I'm not sure about other producers, especially Livetune, but I think it's best to steer clear of the really popular ones.

But you're still the author, and whatever decision you make we all will respect. It's still such a shame...

In regards to mixing music to videos and bringing it all to maximum effect, maybe I'll save a copy of the video for what I WISH it would turn out, and perhaps show it privately to some movie artist or something so I could get a career out of this. It'd be so nice to get some kind of financial benefit out of all my efforts.

Whenever I accidentally offend a company with my work by using their music, I never use their content ever again for my next videos from that point on. But people don't seem to understand that respect.

Yes, I know.

Supercell, LiveTune, and Doriko are off limits. Other songs seem to be okay, but I may not ever get the warning of third-party content, and instead they might just go ahead and delete my video entirely.

Doriko? 0_0 Since when? I haven't heard much about him lately.

It's a gamble, I guess. Maybe even a battle of wits, if you think about it. Staying one step ahead, being subtle about it, the Author versus the Bureaucracy and all that. But I just hope you (and all of us) can see Two-Faced Father all the way to the end no matter what happens. Fight on, Vocal.

Oh....OOOOH. Now I get it!
First of all, DO NOT PANIC.

That little marker, down in the side of the video there? That "Buy Romeo and Cinderella" thing? Guess what bro, that little marker is probably on all of the videos that use Romeo and Cinderella on Youtube. I've even seen it on Mothy songs, 40mp songs, and basically a lot of producers. Thing is, none of them have been deleted so far.

I personally think that the marker thing is some automated thing by Youtube so the viewer knows where to get the ORIGINAL soundtrack. Because honestly, would Doriko himself wander around Youtube, find this random fanmade duet made by some American, decide to be an utter asshole and start selling it? And if this is the reason why most of your videos are in "trouble", there is a good chance you don't need to worry at all! 8D

Yay for misunderstandings!

I want to believe it's a misunderstanding, but as for that video and my others, the company(ies) are able to mute my videos, or suspend or delete my account whenever they want to now. They literally own it, and they basically own my account now.

I personally think that both 1) and 2) are the best options >_< Sure, watching a video without music isn't so nice but "it's something", right? ^^; And well, seeing your "Question-Answers" mini comics... I think you'd do great too :aww: Anything you choose in the end, make sure I'll keep supporting your hard work! :dummy:

I still don't understand Youtube, really . _ . ; There are like thousands if not millions of videos containing Vocaloid covers, be it Vocaloid original songs or songs from "real" bands / musicians. In your previous journal, some people suggested you trying other video websites: this could be a nice option, right? ^^; I understand pretty well your feelings about the matter, however... as long as there are other ways to offer your work to your followers, don't give up Voca-san! ^o^ /
